oxidiser

Fire's chemical helper

An oxidiser is a substance that supplies oxygen or accepts electrons in a chemical reaction, enabling combustion or other oxidation processes.

Rocket fuels require an oxidiser because there's no atmospheric oxygen in space.

Common oxidisers include hydrogen peroxide, nitric acid, and liquid oxygen.

Also spelled oxidizer.
