White-petaled field flower
Oxeye refers to several plants with large, round flower heads resembling an ox's eye—particularly the oxeye daisy, a common wildflower with white petals and a yellow center.
The term also applies to certain shorebirds and, in architecture, to a small round or oval window.
The field was full of oxeyes.
