overcharge

Bill too much

To overcharge is to charge too much money for something: The mechanic overcharged me by fifty dollars.

It can also mean to fill something beyond capacity—overcharging a battery damages it by forcing in more electricity than it can safely hold.

As a noun, an overcharge is an excessive charge or the amount by which something exceeds the proper price.
