orchestral scores
Written symphony music
Orchestral scores are written musical compositions arranged for orchestra, showing all instrumental parts on a single document.
The conductor reads from the full score while individual musicians read only their own parts.
Score can also mean the music for a film, play, or ballet: John Williams composed the orchestral score for Star Wars.
To score is to write such music: She scored the film's haunting soundtrack.
