ocean tides
Moon-pulled waters
Ocean tides are the regular rise and fall of sea levels caused primarily by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun.
High tide and low tide alternate roughly twice daily in most coastal areas.
The tidal range varies with lunar phases—spring tides during full and new moons produce the most dramatic shifts, while neap tides are gentler.
We'll dig for clams at low tide.
