novelisation
Film becomes book
Novelisation is the British spelling of novelization—a novel adapted from a film, television series, or other non-literary source.
The process reverses the typical adaptation direction: instead of a book becoming a movie, a movie becomes a book.
The novelisation of Star Wars came out before the film did.
