northerner
Person from above
A northerner is someone from the northern part of a region or country.
In American usage, it often refers specifically to someone from states that opposed the Confederacy during the Civil War: Northerners flooded into the South during Reconstruction.
The term is relative—a Virginian might be a northerner to someone from Georgia.
