non-solicitation

Don't recruit employees

Non-solicitation refers to a contractual agreement prohibiting someone from actively recruiting or pursuing certain relationships.

Most commonly, a non-solicitation clause prevents a departing employee from poaching former colleagues or clients: The non-solicitation agreement barred her from contacting any clients she'd worked with for two years.

Unlike non-compete clauses, non-solicitation doesn't prevent working for competitors—only the active pursuit of specific relationships.
