Non-Hodgkin describes a category of lymphoma—cancer of the lymphatic system—that excludes Hodgkin lymphoma, which has distinctive cellular markers.
The term appears almost exclusively in the phrase non-Hodgkin lymphoma or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
It encompasses dozens of different cancers, some aggressive, others slow-growing.
