no-sell
Don't react visibly
No-sell comes from professional wrestling, where a wrestler is expected to "sell" an opponent's moves by reacting as if hurt.
To no-sell is to absorb a blow without flinching or showing pain, making the attack look ineffective: He no-sold the chair shot and kept coming.
The term has spread to describe any refusal to give someone the reaction they're seeking: She completely no-sold his attempt at flirting.
