newspaperwoman
She covers stories
A newspaperwoman is a woman who works for a newspaper, especially as a reporter or journalist.
The term was more common when newsrooms were predominantly male and women in the field were notable exceptions: She was one of the first newspaperwomen to cover the war.
Now largely replaced by gender-neutral terms like journalist or reporter.
