Never-never land is an imaginary place of fantasy, wishful thinking, or unrealistic expectations—a realm detached from practical reality.
The phrase comes from the magical world in J.M.
Barrie's *Peter Pan*, where children never grow up.
Someone living in never-never land is out of touch with how things actually work: His business plan exists entirely in never-never land.
