music cues
Soundtrack timing signals
Music cues are the specific moments in film, television, theater, or other productions where music begins, ends, or changes.
In production, a cue is a discrete piece of music composed or selected for a particular scene: The composer delivered twelve cues for the first episode.
The term also refers to the signal itself—a conductor's gesture, a light, or a timecode marker that triggers the music to start.
