muscle strength
Bodily force capacity
Muscle strength is the force a muscle or muscle group can exert against resistance.
It's measured by how much weight someone can lift or how much pressure they can apply in a single maximal effort.
Distinct from endurance, which concerns sustained activity, strength focuses on peak output: She's been working on her muscle strength at the gym.
