motorbus
Wheeled passenger vehicle
A motorbus is a bus—a large passenger vehicle powered by an engine rather than pulled by horses.
The term dates from the early 20th century, when the distinction from horse-drawn omnibuses mattered.
Now largely obsolete, since all buses are motorized: The city replaced its trolleys with motorbuses in 1952.
