Bus without upstairs
A single-decker is a bus with only one level of seating, as opposed to a double-decker.
The term applies to other vehicles or structures built on a single level: a single-decker sandwich.
In British usage especially, the word distinguishes ordinary buses from the iconic two-story variety.
