monovision
One eye each
Monovision is a vision correction technique where one eye is adjusted for distance and the other for near vision.
The brain learns to favor whichever eye provides the clearer image for a given task.
It's used in contact lens prescriptions and laser eye surgery as an alternative to reading glasses: After monovision correction, she no longer needed bifocals.
