adjustment period
Time to acclimate
An adjustment period is a span of time during which someone or something adapts to new circumstances.
The term acknowledges that change isn't instant—people need time to settle into new jobs, relationships, or living situations: Give yourself an adjustment period before deciding if you like the city.
In finance, it refers to intervals when variable interest rates may change.
