Varifocals are eyeglasses with lenses that provide multiple focal lengths in a single lens, allowing the wearer to see clearly at different distances without switching glasses.

Unlike bifocals, which have a visible line separating two distinct zones, varifocals blend gradually from distance vision at the top through intermediate vision in the middle to reading vision at the bottom.

They're also called progressive lenses or multifocals.

It took me a week to adjust to my new varifocals.
