monophasic
Having one stage
Monophasic describes something occurring in a single phase or stage, as opposed to biphasic or polyphasic patterns.
The term appears most often in scientific and medical contexts: monophasic sleep refers to sleeping once per day in a single block, the dominant pattern in modern Western societies.
In pharmacology, monophasic birth control pills deliver the same hormone dose throughout the cycle.
