mole rats
Tunnel-dwelling mammals
Mole rats are burrowing rodents with small eyes, reduced ears, and powerful front teeth adapted for digging.
They live underground in tunnel systems across Africa and parts of Asia.
Naked mole rats are nearly hairless, cold-blooded for mammals, and live in colonies with a breeding queen—more like insects than typical rodents.
