mola
Massive flat fish
Mola names several unrelated things.
The ocean sunfish (*Mola mola*) is a massive, disk-shaped fish that seems to be mostly head—one of the heaviest bony fish in the world.
In Central and South American textile traditions, molas are brightly colored layered fabric panels with intricate cut-out designs, made by the Kuna people of Panama.
In anatomy, a mola (or molar pregnancy) is an abnormal growth in the uterus.
