mockney
Affected London accent
Mockney describes a fake or affected Cockney accent, typically adopted by middle-class or wealthy Britons to seem more working-class or streetwise.
The term blends "mock" with "Cockney." British celebrities and musicians sometimes attract accusations of speaking mockney: He grew up in Surrey but talks like he's from the East End.
