RP
Queen's English speech
RP stands for roleplay—assuming a character or persona in games, online spaces, or social contexts.
In gaming and fan communities, RP involves acting out scenarios as fictional characters: Anyone want to RP in the tavern tonight?
The term extends to sexual roleplay between partners.
RP also abbreviates Received Pronunciation, the prestige British English accent associated with BBC broadcasters and the educated classes.
