mitered

Beveled for joining

Mitered describes a joint where two pieces meet at an angle, typically 45 degrees, forming a corner—as in picture frames or door trim.

The cut itself is a miter: mitered corners on the baseboard.

Separately, mitered describes someone wearing a miter, the tall ceremonial headpiece worn by bishops: the mitered archbishop.
