Road's central barrier
A median strip is the barrier or landscaped area dividing opposing lanes of traffic on a highway or road.
It may be paved, planted with grass, or lined with concrete barriers.
Also called a median, or in British English, a central reservation.
The car crossed the median strip and hit oncoming traffic.
