manhunts

Organized criminal pursuits

Manhunts is the plural of manhunt—an organized search for a person, typically a fugitive or criminal suspect.

The term evokes large-scale pursuit involving law enforcement, tracking dogs, and sometimes public appeals: The manhunts for the escaped prisoners lasted three days.

Despite the name, manhunts target people of any gender.
