lycans

Wolf-human shape-changers

Lycans is informal shorthand for lycanthropes—werewolves or humans who transform into wolves.

The term gained currency through horror fiction, film, and gaming, where it often distinguishes a particular faction or species: The lycans and vampires have been at war for centuries.

Someone might also use it loosely for any shapeshifter with wolf characteristics.
