lycan
Wolf-human shapeshifter
A lycan is a werewolf—a human who transforms into a wolf or wolf-like creature, typically during a full moon.
The term comes from lycanthropy, the mythological condition of shape-shifting.
Lycan appears more in modern horror fiction, games, and film than in traditional folklore: The lycans and vampires had been at war for centuries.
