low-pitched

Rumbling in tone

Low-pitched describes sounds at the deeper end of the frequency range—a low-pitched voice, a low-pitched hum.

Bass notes are low-pitched; soprano notes are high-pitched.

The term also applies to roofs with a shallow slope, where the pitch refers to angle rather than sound.
