clock out
Finish the workday
Clock out means to record the time you finish work, typically by punching a time card or using an electronic system.
The phrase extends to any act of ending a work shift or disengaging from responsibilities: I clocked out at five and headed straight to the bar.
Figuratively, someone who has mentally clocked out has stopped paying attention or caring about what's happening around them.
