clocking out
Ending work officially
Clocking out is recording one's departure from work, originally by punching a time clock.
The phrase extends to any act of finishing work for the day: I'm clocking out at five.
Figuratively, it means disengaging mentally or ceasing to pay attention: After hour three of the meeting, I completely clocked out.
