liveth

Remains alive, biblically

Liveth is an archaic third-person singular form of live, found in the King James Bible and other early modern English texts: He that liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

The -eth ending was standard in 16th- and 17th-century English but has been replaced by -s in modern usage.

The form survives in religious quotations and deliberate archaism.
