leg-spinner
Cricket's twirling deceiver
A leg-spinner is a cricket bowler who spins the ball from leg to off—that is, from the batsman's leg side toward the off side—using wrist action rather than finger spin.
The term also refers to the delivery itself.
Leg-spinners are prized for their ability to deceive batsmen with turn and variation: Shane Warne was the greatest leg-spinner of his generation.
