left click
Primary mouse action
A left click is a press of the left button on a computer mouse, the standard action for selecting items, opening files, and activating links.
Because most mice are configured for right-handed users, the left button falls under the index finger—the default click: Left click the icon to open it.
The verb follows naturally: Left click and drag to select text.
