lead-outs
Endings before commercials
Lead-outs are the concluding segments of something, especially the final portion of a broadcast, recording, or performance that transitions to what follows.
In cycling, a lead-out is a tactical maneuver where teammates ride at high speed to position their sprinter for the final sprint: The team executed a perfect lead-out in the last kilometer.
The term also applies to the groove at the end of a vinyl record that guides the stylus to the center.
