lap-pool
Narrow swimming lane
A lap pool is a long, narrow swimming pool designed for swimming laps rather than recreation.
The proportions—typically at least 25 meters long but only a few lanes wide—maximize length for continuous swimming while minimizing the footprint: The gym installed a lap pool for members who want to swim for exercise.
