ironwoman
Female endurance athlete
An ironwoman is a woman of exceptional strength, endurance, or toughness.
The term often refers specifically to a female competitor in Ironman triathlons—grueling races combining swimming, cycling, and running: She became an ironwoman after completing her first Ironman.
More broadly, it describes any woman who handles demanding circumstances with remarkable stamina.
