inswinging

Arcing toward batter

Inswinging describes something that swings or curves inward.

In cricket, an inswinging delivery moves through the air toward the batsman.

In football (soccer), an inswinging corner or cross curves toward the goal rather than away from it: He sent an inswinging corner into the box.

The opposite is outswinging.
