ileus
Bowel movement stops
Ileus is a condition in which the intestines stop their normal muscular contractions, causing a painful backup of digestive contents.
Unlike a mechanical blockage, ileus involves paralysis of the bowel—often following abdominal surgery, injury, or infection.
The patient developed ileus after the operation and couldn't tolerate food for days.
