ideal society
Flawless human community
An ideal society is a vision of human community perfected according to some set of values—justice, equality, freedom, harmony, or prosperity.
The concept appears in philosophy, political theory, and fiction: Plato's Republic imagines an ideal society ruled by philosopher-kings.
Unlike utopia, which often implies impossibility, ideal society suggests a standard worth striving toward, even if never fully achieved.
