perfect world
Ideal reality imagined
A perfect world is an imaginary state where everything works out ideally—no suffering, no injustice, no complications.
The phrase appears almost exclusively in conditional constructions acknowledging reality falls short: In a perfect world, everyone would have health care.
It concedes that what follows is aspirational rather than achievable.
- paradiseIdeal, blissful place
- utopiaImagined perfect society
- peaceFreedom from disturbance
- nirvanaRelease from cyclical existence
- ElysiumGreek afterlife for heroes
