ideal gas law

Pressure-volume-temperature equation

The ideal gas law is a formula describing the relationship between pressure, volume, temperature, and amount of a gas: PV = nRT.

It assumes gas molecules don't interact and occupy no volume—conditions approximated at low pressures and high temperatures.

Real gases deviate from ideal behavior under extreme conditions.

Use the ideal gas law to calculate the volume.
