huffer
Chemical vapor abuser
A huffer is someone who inhales chemical vapors to get high—from paint, glue, aerosols, or other household products.
The practice is called huffing because users often breathe fumes from a bag or rag held to the face: Police found the huffer passed out with a bag of spray paint.
The term carries connotations of desperation and danger, as inhalant abuse can cause sudden death.
