horizon lines
Where sky meets
Horizon lines are the apparent boundaries where earth or sea meets sky, or in visual art and perspective drawing, the imaginary level lines representing the viewer's eye height.
Artists use horizon lines to establish depth and spatial relationships: Place the horizon line low to emphasize the sky.
In photography and film, keeping horizon lines straight prevents a tilted, disorienting effect.
