flat earth
Disc-shaped world theory
Flat earth is the belief that Earth is a plane or disk rather than a sphere—a view contradicted by centuries of scientific evidence.
The term usually appears in discussions of conspiracy theories and science denial: flat earth theory, flat earthers.
To believe in a flat earth has become shorthand for rejecting established scientific consensus.
