headrails
Horizontal bed supports
Headrails are horizontal bars or rails at the top of a structure.
In furniture, a headrail is the top crosspiece of a bed frame or headboard.
In window treatments, it's the horizontal housing at the top of blinds or shades that contains the mechanism for raising and lowering them.
On ships, headrails are decorative rails extending from the figurehead to the bow.
