hazes

Fogs or bullies

Hazes is usually the verb form of haze.

To haze is to subject newcomers to humiliating or dangerous rituals as initiation—common in fraternities, military units, and sports teams: The upperclassmen hazed the freshmen.

Hazes also pluralizes the noun: atmospheric hazes reduce visibility, and mental hazes cloud thinking.
