A hazer is someone who subjects others to hazing—the rituals of humiliation, physical abuse, or dangerous tasks imposed on newcomers to a group, especially fraternities, sororities, or athletic teams: The hazers forced pledges to drink until they vomited.
In a different context, a hazer is a rodeo worker who rides alongside a steer to keep it running straight during steer wrestling events.
