hand plant
Palm-down board balance
A hand plant is a skateboarding or snowboarding trick where the rider grabs the board with one hand while planting the other hand on the lip of a ramp or obstacle, using it as a pivot point to rotate or stall before reentering: He did a perfect hand plant on the halfpipe.
The term extends to similar inverted moves in BMX and freestyle skiing.
